Speaking of cottages, perhaps it’s worth noting that a cottage has tipped the scales in a priciest burbs contest. Burbed.com has been scouring listings in New York and Bay Area suburbs this past week, and has declared something of a de facto winner in this Los Gatos 2-bedroom guest house, described as “cottage/bungalow” style. Its asking price: $1,100,000, and that’s after a $100K price chop. Then again, it’s also been on the market for a year and half. [Burbed]
